DAC is founded on over 30 years experience within the asbestos field and was established to provide a flexible professional consultancy service for clients, consultants and contractors alike.

We offer a service that is both independent and impartial and our aim is to deliver this service so that you can continue to operate your business without interruption, all the while knowing your asbestos issues are being expertly and confidentially dealt with.
DAC was formed by Mick Dawson following a long career in the asbestos consultancy and laboratory sector.
During his career, Mick worked in all parts of the business and held the following posts;
- Quality Coordinator
- Surveyor and Analyst
- Laboratory Manager
- Project Manager
- Operations Director
- Commercial Director
Accreditations
Mick holds the BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos and is a Chartered Environmentalist, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health.
He is an examiner for the S301 Oral as well as being a tutor and practical assessor for the BOHS and RSPH qualifications. Mick is a founder member of ATAC and sits on the Management Committee.
In addition to this, Mick is retained by Ofqual as their external expert for asbestos qualifications, sits on the application review panel for the Institution of Environmental Sciences, and is co-opted onto the RICS asbestos working group as lead author for their asbestos guidance.
